Obtaining a Crash Report
The LSU Police Records Department is open Monday through Friday, 8am to 3pm, excluding holidays.

Motor Vehicle Crash Reports:
Crash reports are $15.00 each and any associated photos are $10.00 total. There is a minimum processing period of 7-10 business days for all reports.
You may request a Motor Vehicle Crash Report by doing the following:
1. Submit an LSU Police Department report request form via:
- Fax: 225-578-0536
- Mail: LSU Police Department, Attention: Records, 101 Public Safety Building, South Stadium Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70803.
- Online: For convenient and instant retrieval, visit LSU Police Incident Request Form.
- You will need the state and jurisdiction (LSU Police Department), as well as one of the following to complete the transaction:
- Report or Case Number
- Name (first, last) and date of incident
- Name (first, last) and street name
- You will need the state and jurisdiction (LSU Police Department), as well as one of the following to complete the transaction:
*A nominal convenience fee of $6.00 will be added to all LEXIS NEXIS online crash report transactions.
