Join the Office of Engagement & Impact for three days of community as we acknowledge the intersected experiences of our graduating LSU Tigers. Celebrate your Impact, Together! honors the many talents, perspectives, and academic accomplishments of the LSU graduating class as they pursue excellence in their careers after college. All LSU system graduating seniors, family, and friends are in invited to join us May 14-16, 2024, on the campus of Louisiana State University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA.

In alignment with the university's commitment to student success, the graduation celebrations serve as opportunities to highlight the many academic achievements of our LSU Tigers. Graduation celebrations do not replace official commencement ceremonies, but provide opportunities for students to receive additional recognition, and stoles or cords that may be worn with graduation regalia. Students may also attend more than one graduation celebration.

In 2022, the Office of Multicultural Affairs hosted LSU's very first Multicultural Graduation Celebration.
Since 2022, this event continues to acknowledge and highlight the culture, community, and heritage of LSU graduates that identify as LatinX, Native American, or Asian American Pacific Islander. This annual celebration honors the academic achievements of participating students by presenting them with custom stoles that can be worn during their official graduation ceremonies.

In 2013, the Office of Multicultural Affairs hosted LSU's very first Lavender Graduation, recognizing 20 students.
Since 2013, the university's LGBTQ+ Center and Women's Center have partnered in the effort to host this annual tradition honoring the academic achievements and contributions of graduating lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and ally students of all races and ethnicities within the LSU community. During this ceremony, participants are presented with a lavender cord which can also be worn during the official LSU commencement ceremony.

In 1996, Gwendolyn E. Snearl and Tayarikwa Salaam developed a program to honor and celebrate the achievements of African American students graduating from Louisiana State University. Thus, the Robing Ceremony was born. The Robing Ceremony recognizes and celebrates the successful passage of participating students through the academic rigors of LSU and into the community.
Today, the Robing Ceremony is hosted by the Clarence L. Barney African American Cultural Center (AACC) and continues to be an anticipated annual event attended by many members of the LSU community.
