Reserve the LSU Clarence L. Barney Jr. African American Cultural Center for your next event!
Please read the following reservation guidelines:
All requests must be submitted at least seven (7) business days before the event,
excluding weekend events, which must be submitted at least 14 business days before
the event.
Payments for weekend events must be received seven (7) days before the event. Checks
should be made payable to the LSU Clarence L. Barney Jr. African American Cultural Center.
- All requests are handled on a first come, first served basis.
Reservation cancellation must be made at least three (3) days before the requested date or payment will be processed. - Receipt of reservation request, along with approval or denial of event, will be sent within 72 hours.
- Weekend and evening programs/reservations are subject to approval. Guests are responsible for ensuring that the space is properly opened and closed and responsible for making arrangements to access the building after hours.
- The reservation calendar is visible to the public. If your event is private, guests are encouraged to type private in the subject line and share details with AACC staff when finalizing their request.
- Review and acknowledge Statement PS-82: Use of Facilities and Premises.

Faculty, staff and students may borrow library materials from the Clarence L. Barney Jr. African American Cultural Center upon presentation of a valid university identification card. Please visit the center during business hours.
- Reference books are not allowed to be checked out
- Borrowed materials must be brought back to the Cultural Center
