Candice Marti is a fourth-year doctoral student in the Department of Marketing at
the E. J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University (LSU). Candice earned
her B.A. in social science with a minor in psychology and her M.B.A. with an emphasis
in marketing and international business from Chapman University in Orange, CA. Her
research interests include frontline employee-customer interactions, the influence
of service leaders in service firm strategy, superstition, vulnerable consumers, retailing,
and atmospherics. Prior to pursuing a Ph.D. at LSU, Candice held marketing leadership
positions in multiple industries, including healthcare, financial services, public
health, and transportation.
