Research Interest
My focus is clinical veterinary endocrinology research that directly helps improve the lives of pets and their people. This includes treatment and monitoring of diabetes mellitus, Addison’s disease, and Cushing’s syndrome. More recent work includes studies to help decrease the side effects of steroids in dogs.
Teaching Interest
I love to teach small animal internal medicine—endocrinology, specifically. My goal is have as much fun as possible while doing it. Sometimes this involves alternative methods that use music and/or games to help get the ideas across.
Clinical Interest
Although I see all sorts of small animal internal medicine cases, treatment of endocrine disease is my passion.
