Chapter SymbolPi Kappa Alpha has challenged more than 300,000 men to be Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen. For the past 156 years, Pike has remained dedicated to developing men of integrity, intellect, success, and high moral character; and to fostering a truly lifelong fraternal experience. The Alpha Gamma chapter has continued the legacy of excellence at LSU. With 122 continuous years, Pike is the longest tenured fraternity on LSU's campus. Mike the Tiger was named after an LSU Pike alumnus, Mike Chambers. Pike has also recently won consecutive awards for best tailgate on campus. Pike boasts the largest fraternity house in Louisiana, moving to their new chapter house in 2021. Over the last year, Pike has been very active in Fraternity Intramurals, fielding multiple teams in all sports. In addition to athletics, Pike also has a very active activity calendar and is an active supporter of philanthropy. In fact, Pike hosts a Powderpuff Pro Day philanthropy event sponsored by former NFL player and LSU Tiger, Jacob Hester. Pike's philanthropy also supports the St. Baldrick's Foundation, a non-profit seeking to find cures to children's cancer. LSU Pike currently holds the Robert Adger Smythe Award, a distinction that recognizes the top 10% of all Pike chapters in North America.
