Having grown up working inside his family business started by his parents over 45 years ago, and having those foundational pillars to stand on, Mr. Jimmie M. Woods, Sr. has operated an array of businesses in the construction, environmental services and real estate development sectors In Louisiana, Mississippi, and the Gulf Coast.

Mr. Woods has served and is currently serving on a variety of boards over the years representing governmental, business and civic interests. Mr. Woods is a former board member of the Greater New Orleans Foundation, former member of the New Orleans Business Council, former board member of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, former board member of the New Orleans Regional Black Chamber of Commerce, former board member of the Jefferson Economic Development Corporation (JEDCO), the Christian Civic Democratic Organization, and the Coalition for Leadership and Development.

In addition, Mr. Woods contributes to and volunteers with a variety of charities across the greater New Orleans area. He has been recognized by several organizations for his charitable work, including: the American Cancer Society, the SCLC, the NAACP, the Urban League of Greater New Orleans, the Whitney M. Young Chapter of the Boys Scouts of America, and a recipient of the Weiss Award. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Silverback Society Board..
