Outstanding Alumni Award

The Outstanding Alumni Award is to recognizes and honors graduates for their outstanding leadership and significant contributions in their career, public service or volunteer activities.

Each year, our recipients are recognized at a reception hosted by the LSU College of Agriculture and the LSU College of Agriculture Alumni Association.

2024 Award Winners

Nominate an alumni

The recipient shall:

  • Have shown outstanding leadership and significant contributions in their career, public service, and/or volunteer activities.
  • Possess integrity, stature and demonstrated ability that merits the recognition of a proven leader in his/her chosen field.
  • Have a record of outstanding personal and professional accomplishments.
  • Have demonstrated interest in the College of Agriculture.

  • All nominees must hold a degree from LSU College of Agriculture (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate).
  • Posthumous nominations are welcomed.

Nominations are accepted from any alumnus, friend of the College of Agriculture and/or faculty or staff member in the college and LSU AgCenter.
It is strongly encouraged that you include the following items in the nomination packet:
  • Nomination Letter (2 page limit).
  • Current Curriculum Vitae or resume to include business, public service and professional honors and awards; noteworthy research, publications or professional business accomplishments.
  • Letter of Support/Recommendation, nominators are encouraged to submit up to three (3) letters of support (two-page maximum).

 

Early Career Alumni Award

The Early Career Alumni Award is to recognize and honor graduates for their outstanding leadership and significant contributions early in their career, public service and volunteer activities.

Each year, award recipients are recognized at a reception hosted by the LSU College of Agriculture and the LSU College of Agriculture Alumni Association.

Friend of the College of Agriculture Award

The Friend of the College of Agriculture Award recognizes an individual for their outstanding leadership, contributions, and support of the students, faculty, and staff of the College of Agriculture.
